Binghamton University is one the leading public universities in the United States. Located in Vestal, N.Y., its campus is spread across 887 acres on a wooded hillside. The University consists of six schools: Harpur College of Arts and Sciences, College of Community and Public Affairs, Decker School of Nursing, School of Education, School of Management and the Thomas J. Watson School of Engineering and Applied Science. It also offers an opera company, symphony orchestra, movie theaters, clubs, restaurants, bars as well as professional hockey and baseball teams.
