Fordham University is an independent, four-year liberal arts, Jesuit university. Founded in 1841, Fordham has residential campuses in the Bronx, Manhattan and Tarrytown and the Louis Calder Center Biological Field Station in Armonk, N.Y. In addition to a range of liberal arts majors, there is a commitment to the training of students in fields including media studies, visual arts and theater.
