A large white cross stands at the entrance of this church and inside, a bright atrium fills the lobby with light. Just beyond the atrium is a welcome desk where visitors can get information about the church. The sanctuary, decorated in purple, is modern and features a stage with musical instruments played during services.
The Independent Baptist Church is a strikingly visible church located off Boughton Road about halfway between Schmidt Road and Route 53. With a moderately-sized congregation, the church stands on the same ground as its original site, which fell victim to an arsonist attack in March 1989.
