Situated in Merchant Way Shops at the corner of Merchant Way and Route 34, The Clipper Shop is the second-oldest retail hair service in Colts Neck. Owner Sal Zocchi opened his self-described "old-fashioned barbershop" in 1972, and has cut the hair of residents ever since. The shop's maritime-themed decor displays his love of the sea. A shelf with carving to match the rustic mirror frames of its hair stations sells a selection of Pinaud talc and hair products. In keeping with its longtime tradition, The Clipper Shop is a cash-only establishment.
