Located in San Carlos and previously Gateway Properties, The Office is a family owned bar and new American restaurant that offers live entertainment, custom fire pits, outdoor seating, a build-your-own burger bar and a bocce ball court. The Domenico Winery was founded by Dominick Chirichillo to display and offer tastings of his own wines. Located in the same building as the Bacchus Wine Making Club, which offers tips to amateur wine makers, Domenico Winery sells a variety of special red and white wines and offers tastings every day from noon to 5pm.
The Carlos Club has been a landmark in San Carlos since 1947. In 2008, however, it underwent a complete renovation. Outside, it looks as it always has, but when you step in, the interior is more like a trendy lounge.
Come for drink specials, bottle service, karaoke and the eight beers on tap.
Do note the dress code for men on weekend nights.
Ale Arsenal is a local bar. Its specialty is American craft beer. It has 22 rotating craft beer taps, an assortment of rare bottled beers, premium wine, sake and cider. The bar also serves food such as pizza, burgers and appetizers.
Ceviche Bar & Grill offers a variety of dishes including burgers, Mexican cuisine, steaks and seafood. Its menu includes shrimp quesadillas, chicken and steak tacos, cheeseburgers, ceviche tostada, half-chicken plates and sandwiches.
Spasso features a nice blend of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine with Tapas-style plates. The space here has a wonderfully elegant atmosphere that avoids being stuffy. Spasso also has a full bar. This eatery offers catering services and gift cards, too. Spasso doesn't charge a corkage fee on Sunday and Monday.
Located in downtown San Carlos, the Cask is a wine and cheese bar that serves artisinal cheeses, meats and small plates as well as flights of wine. The ambiance is elegant and romantic with friendly service, and the restaurant can be reserved for private parties. A wine club is available for extra savings.
The Orchid Room is San Carlos' long-standing dive bar. It offers the classic dive bar experience: cheap drinks, pool table and shuffleboard.
It also has a satellite jukebox with every song imaginable. The Orchid Rooms draws a diverse crowd, from its regulars to the newly 21 and tourists stopping in looking for a drink. Among others, it offers PBR on tap: not a common practice in San Carlos.
Located on Laurel Strret in the middle of San Carlos' downtown scene, it is a convenient stop for drinks before dinner or heading out on the town, as well as a great place to end the night with friends in a fun atmosphere with good music.
Sneakers Pub & Grill is located in the heart of San Carlos, right on San Carlos Avenue off El Camino Real. Sneakers boasts several flat screen televisions, small TV screens in each booth, and an extensive menu featuring everything from fish and chips to burgers, fajitas and over ten different salads.
There is a full bar and many different drought beers to enjoy while watching the big game. The restaurant promises "good friends, good food, good fun, good drinks, and good sports."
