This bathing beach is located at the end of Atlantic Avenue in Amagansett. While parking on weekends and holidays is just for those with permits, beachgoers can pay a daily fee during the week. There is also a concession stand.
From May 26 through September 15, dogs are not allowed on the beach between 10am and 6pm. During those same hours driving on the beach is prohibited from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Indian Wells Beach in Amagansett is lifeguard-protected throughout the summer season. With clean sands, a volleyball net and the Nature Conservancy's Atlantic Double Dunes (an ecological reserve), this beach is a gorgeous spot from which to view the Atlantic Ocean. The large parking lot is permit-only. Food trucks are stationed in the lot during the summer, and there are restrooms in the lot.
Animals are not permitted on the beach from 10am to 6pm, May 15 through Sept. 15.
