Nor-Cal Battery Company was founded in 1982 in Stockton, California and has grown from a 2-man operation selling automobile batteries to a company servicing power protection equipment needs throughout the Western United States. NCB is a certified small business with the resources to handle the largest of jobs while delivering personalized service. NCB has the expertise to perform all battery related work, surpassing that of any UPS company. We are a certified EPA battery disposal center. Our technicians have had no OSHA related safety incidents during the past 10 years. They carry the appropriate safety equipment for the job hard hats, electrical safety gloves, face shields, back braces, lockout-tag out kits, portable eye washes and spill kits. They attend weekly safety meetings and are CPR certified. Most have received Hazardous Materials Handling Certificates for DOT49 CFR Transportation Regulations. Intel certified technicians are Click-Safety trained. Past and present customers include Eaton Power Quality Corporation, Liebert Global Services, Intel, Johnson Controls and many others. Nor-Cal Battery specializes in battery installations VRLA, wet cell, telecom and emergency lighting, battery monitoring installations, preventive/predictive maintenance and special testing ( load bank/capacity testing ). NCB technicians carry Fluke Model 87 multi-meters, Alber model CLC-200 and crt-300 Cellcorders and Midtronics Ultra model CTU-6000 Battery Analyzers. For wet cell batteries, they use digital hydrometers, and for capacity and discharge test monitoring we have an Alber BCT-2000. Additionally, our technicians are trained on the installation and maintenance of B-Tech and Cell Watch battery monitoring systems. Batteries we carry include, but are not limited to C&D, Power Battery, Enersys/DataSafe and others. Any battery not in local stock is available in 7 to 10 business days, with very few exceptions ( some flooded cells ).
