Dr. Mirela Cernaianu, or “Dr. C.” as her patients call her, opened her private practice, Hera Healthcare, so that she could provide compassionate and holistic medical care that reflects her own values. Women living in and around Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks, California, find that Dr. Cernaianu’s focus on their individual needs, and her willingness to take the time to know them, motivate them to achieve and maintain vitality and wellness. Dr. Cernaianu attended medical school at Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania. After completing her internship and residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at University Hospital Bucharest, she became a clinic instructor and then Assistant Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at University Hospital in Bucharest, Romania. After relocating to New Orleans, Dr. Cernaianu completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Louisiana State University, then went on to achieve multiple board certifications, as well as a Fellowship in Anti-Aging, Regenerative and Functional Medicine. She’s board certified by: American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine/Regenerative Medicine Association for the Advancement of Restorative Medicine American Board of Integrative and Holistic Medicine After practicing obstetrics and gynecology at a clinic in Florida, Dr. Cernaianu moved to California, where she served as the Chair of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, California. She worked at the Clinicas del Camino Real in Ventura County for more than a decade, where she proudly provided holistic health services to those who relied on the clinic for their medical care. She started her own practice so that she could focus on truly personalized care for each individual patient. When she’s not helping patients, Dr. Cernaianu is dedicated to practicing and teaching yoga. She’s a 200-hour certified yoga teacher and is working to achieve her 300-hour certification.
