The Briar Rose was originally built in 1887 as a tourist house. It retains its historic charm, with updated amenities. All the rooms have seasonal air conditioning and ceiling fans.
The Briar Rose Bed and Breakfast was opened in April 2002 by Lisa and Jim Everetts. Our goal is to make everyone who stays with us feel at home. Everyone who stays with us receives a full breakfast. Some of our breakfasts include stuffed French toast, crepes, Belgium Waffles, homemade coffee cakes and breakfast casseroles. We love to make our breakfasts according to the seasons.

Everyone staying at the Briar Rose receives complimentary beverages, and a snack basket in their room. They receive a photo of their stay. We give everyone complimentary soaps and a free gift. Your bed will be decorated with cool towel origami each night. We go out of our way to make special occasions, like weddings and holidays even more special. We also have an outdoor hot tub, a game room with a juke box, a big wrap around front porch that is great for relaxing and read a book. The Wine Room has a Sleep Number Bed with dual remote controls. You can see artwork by the owner, Lisa Everetts, on a Garden Mural in the kitchen.
Fair Oaks Manor is a residential facility designed to serve mentally challenged adults. Residents receive quality care, training and supervision. Each resident is provided spacious accomodations, and family members are encouraged to participate in the daily life of the residents. Some of the services provided include laundry, meals, room cleaning, recreational activities, medication dispensing and doctor visits.
