Established in 1995, OEX Dive and Kayak in La Jolla offers scuba, snorkeling, stand up paddle-boarding and kayak services. Most of the tours are conducted at La Jolla's Ecological Reserve and at seven sea caves. Most of the kayaking, scuba diving and snorkeling are conducted at La Jolla Cove and the Marine Room. All of the company's guides are certified experts. The OEX Dive and Kayak La Jolla shop features a PADI Five Star facility and full-service dive center.

The business, established in 1996, provides tours of cliffs and caves and allows guests opportunities to paddle and snorkel in La Jolla's 6,000 underwater reserve while catching a glimpse of Southern California reefs and marine life. La Jolla Kayak also offers bike tours along the San Diego coast. Snorkel, bike and kayak rentals are also available. The guided tours are conducted by certified and experienced instructors.
Established in 1979, La Jolla Surf Systems features surfboards, accessories and classic surf apparel for men, women and children. It also provides surf lessons and offers rentals of surfboards, wetsuits, kayaks, boogie-boards, snorkeling gear and beach chairs. Two-hour private surf lessons are offered daily at 6am, 7am and 8am and group lessons are available upon request. Daily Kayak tours, which take guests throughout the La Jolla Underwater Park and Marine Wildlife Sanctuary, are offered. The business is located close to the beach.
La Jolla Sea Cave Kayaks specializes in guiding kayaking tours, mainly through La Jolla sea caves. Most of the tours are done in small groups and conducted by trained professionals.
