Metro Heating and Cooling is a family-owned and operated company. We have been serving Pennsylvania since 1957, when William "W.C." Wessner Sr. founded the company. In 1962, Metro moved to its present location. Working side by side with his father during the summers, Bill Jr. quickly learned the business, and joined his father on a full time basis in 1970. Bills brother, Tom, also joined the company after graduating high school, and is now Metros Chief Executive Officer. Interestingly, both boys worked their way "up the ranks," of the family business by filling roles such as delivery man, helper, mechanic, etc. Bill and Tom share the responsibilities of managing the company, and maintain a hands on approach in all aspects of sales, service, installation, and design. The Wessners and their staff attend regular training and workshops to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of their industry. The Wessners are active in the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA), where both Bill Jr. and Bill Sr. have served as President. Metro has grown to be one of the areas most respected heating and air conditioning companies because of our reliable and dependable service. We are particularly proud of our proven expertise in Overhead Air Conditioning installation services for older homes equipped with hot-water radiator heat.
