East Bay Regional Park District manages more than 95,000 acres of land in California s Alameda and Contra Costa counties, which encompass 1,745 miles on the eastern side of San Francisco Bay. The district s land includes 65 regional parks, recreation areas, wilderness, shorelines, preserves and land bank areas. EBRPD features 29 regional inter-park trails and 1,150 miles of trails with parklands. There are 11 freshwater swimming areas, boating and stocked fishing lakes and lagoons as well as a disabled-accessible swimming pool. EBRPD also has 40 fishing docks, three bay fishing piers, 235 family campsites and 42 youth camping areas. There are also two golf courses.
