Camp Kadima, a Jewish community day camp, located at Sunol Glen Elementary School on Nevada Street in Pleasanton, offers campers positive Jewish experiences and Shabbat celebrations. Camp Kadima builds the community through field trips, craft projects, music, art and counseling sessions.

In the comfort of a vibrant Jewish community, campers explore their unique identities, integrating Jewish values into activities such as music, drama, skits and other outdoor activities.

Since its founding, Congregation Beth Emek has shared its vibrant Jewish heritage with the greater Tri-Valley, serving the communities of Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin, San Ramon and Tracy. Beth Emek or "The House of the Valley" is a place for Jewish people to meet, study, learn and celebrate.

The congregation is affiliated with the Reform movement, but welcomes individuals and families of all religious backgrounds in it's programs. It's mission is to "provide for the social welfare of the members of the congregation and to support the principles of righteousness and brotherhood in society at large." In fulfillment of this mission, the congregation offers worship and celebration services, youth and continuing adult education, small group support, service opportunities, charity fundraisers and a wealth of other community-centric events.

TriValley Academy offers tutoring, after school care and summer camp programs. Tutoring is available on a small group and one-on-one basis, with specific programs that include reading, writing, math skills, pre-algebra, algebra, AP course, foreign languages, SAT prep and more. After school care also includes tutoring, as well as homework help, test prep and daily snacks. The summer camp program is open to children entering kindergarten through eighth grade. Campers participate in a variety of activities with the option of registering for speciality camps, which include performing arts, science, speech, debate and Lego. The fairgrounds hosts the Alameda County Fair and is operated by the Alameda County Agricultural Fair Association. It is a 270-acre facility, with 10 buildings and a one-mile horse racing track. It also hosts a variety of events including trade and consumer shows, conventions, festivals, weddings and banquets.

The first modern-day Alameda County Fair was held in 1939. In 2009, the fair attracted more than 400,000 attendees.
