Founded in 1956 as an interdenominational Christian summer camp for boys, Camp Rockmont is a provider of fun and adventure through appropriate challenges to its vast base of campers. Based in Black Mountain, N.C., the camp serves more than 1,700 boys from all over the United States and many other countries every summer. Camp Rockmont operates two, three, and four-week sessions to provide a well-rounded camping experience for boys ages 7 to 16. The camp hires over 150 individuals for each summer season to work with campers.

Camp Lurecrest is a summer camp operated by Camp Lurecrest Ministries. It offers a variety of recreational and skills development opportunities at Lake Lure, which is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Its activities include chapel services, swimming, diving, fun games in the pool, volleyball, basketball, fooseball, Ping Pong, rope courses and wall climbing. Established in 2003, Camp Spring Creek helps the dyslexic children to become better readers, spellers, writers, discover their creative talents, gain self confidence and independence. Based in Bakersville, N.C., the camp is spread over an area of 70-acres with facilities, such as a main lodge, dining hall, art barn, woodshop, swimming pool, campers cabins, climbing wall and two zip lines. It offers Orton-Gillingham language tutorial, keyboarding and written expression that includes applications, such as word processing, PowerPoint, garage band supervised oral reading and math/remediation. Camp Spring Creek accredited by the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators.

The Cove Camp is a ministry of the Billy Graham Training Center, located on 1,500 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains just outside of Asheville, N.C. Its purpose is to train people in Gods word to win people to Christ. In keeping with this vision, the camp is made available from late August to mid-May as a retreat site for Christian groups. Each is furnished with bunk beds for 12 people and is equipped with full bathroom facilities.
