Airgas Carbonic, a division of Airgas, is the third-largest manufacturer and distributor of liquid carbon dioxide in the United States. With six production facilities, including one in Augusta, Ga., Airgas Carbonic serves 19 states, primarily east of the Mississippi River. Two of its plants are the largest carbon dioxide plants in North America, and they offer state-of-the-art production and quality control capabilities. In addition to manufacturing, Airgas Carbonic offers a complete line of carbon dioxide storage, transportation and process equipment. Through internal growth and more than 320 acquisitions, Airgas has built a national packaged gas distribution network that includes more than 900 branch locations, cylinder fill plants, production facilities, specialty gas laboratories and regional distribution centers. Founded in 1982, Airgas maintains its headquarters in Radnor, Pa.
