The Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce is a compilation of businesses, non-profit organizations, and community-minded residents in the heart of Westchester County. The Chamber actively sponsors community events such as, Sales Day, a September weekend street sale that draws thousands of people to Mount Kisco; Citizen of the Year Awards Dinner Dance; and a Holiday Tree Lighting Festival.
Membership fees are based on the number of employees or members in a business or organization. Members and their companies or organizations are listed on the Web site with links to their Web sites. Members can advertise, receive a monthly newsletter, and be a part of the yearly publication, LifeStyles Magazine.
The Southampton Chamber of Commerce is the largest chamber on the East End, serving Southampton Town but including members from Manhattan to Montauk. The board of directors meets on the third Thursday of the month and the membership meets quarterly. The chamber puts on networking nights, sponsored by local businesses and agencies, from 5pm to 7pm on the last Thursday of the month. The networking nights are always in a different location and have been held at restaurants, Coopers Beach and the Southampton Historical Museum. The chamber also puts on a farmers market in Southampton Village during the summer and hosts Christmas events during the holiday shopping season. The chamber is a member of the Hamptons Visitors Council.
The North Fork Chamber of Commerce helps promote local businesses and advises government entities on existing and proposed legislation to help make doing business on the North Fork more profitable. Members also promote educational, cultural and community programs and organize local festivals and other events.
The chamber is responsible for hamlet beautification projects such as the installation of park benches, planters and dark-sky compliant street lamps throughout Southold. Members work with local groups such as the North Fork Promotional Council to make sure businesses get maximum exposure at places such as Southold Town's visitor information centers.
This non-profit voices the interests of in-town and international organizations conducting business in the two villages and acts as a liaison between them and local officials. The Chamber sponsors monthly member meetings, business talks and other events including an annual award ceremony for the best in local business. Executive Director John Sardy mans the new office near the intersection of Main and Broadway, which also serves as a Visitor's Center stocked with event posters, maps, and brochures of area businesses and attractions.
