The Gig Harbor Downtown Waterfront Alliance, formerly known as the Gig Harbor Historic Waterfront Association, is an organization that encourages the economic improvement and historic preservation of the waterfront district. The organization's website features an extensive listing of businesses in the community including restaurants, stores and hotels and lodging. Gig Harbor Downtown Waterfront Alliance is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.

The Puyallup/Sumner Chamber of Commerce is a great place for business owners to network and build relationships in the valley community. Monthly coffee socials, political forums and leadership summits are all available to members. The conference room is available by reservation. There are approximately 530 Chamber members, with about 10 percent of them based in Sumner. That number is exponentially growing, along with the opportunities for local visibility, marketing and membership perks. The Chamber is also a great resource for Puyallup and Sumner visitors, with lots of resources and literature on local attractions and regional history.

Located in the Visitor Information Center building, the Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce serves the businesses in the area. There are more than 500 members who benefit from member savings, classes, workshops and other opportunities to promote business in Gig Harbor.

The Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce serves visitors to the community by providing maps, lists of events and other items about the town.

Parking on the private lot is limited, but free parking on the street is available. Warren Zimmerman is the president and CEO of the Chamber. Membership dues start at $195.
