It is also a donation drop off center, where anything in relatively good shape is highly appreciated and passed along to other non-profit organizations for distribution. The store has a 50% off sales day every Wednesday, which is strictly offered on clothing items, not for shoes, hats or other accessories. For those without money, the local nearby church offers $20.00 vouchers that can be used at the store anytime or on Wednesday to maximize purchase power for a 50% discount.
Community Solutions is a human services agency serving Santa Clara County and its surrounding communities. Programs offered include mental health services for children, adolescents, adults and seniors, services for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, human trafficking and services for at-risk youths and families. The agency is currently under the direction of President and CEO Erin O'Brien. This community outreach program of the Santa Clara Library System connects tutors with adults who need to build reading, English, math and computer skills. This is a free service for those being tutored and offers volunteers to interact with the community while helping others. A part of the California Literacy Program, Santa Clara Library System has been piloting this program since 1985. The space is also open daily as a reading room.
Victory Outreach on Hanna Street is both a church and home for rehabilitating drug users, which provides a Christian recovery. Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous meetings are held on-site. Church services occur Sundays at 10am and Wednesdays at 7pm. It also has a young adults bible study group. There are some 600 Victory Outreach churches and centers worldwide.
The Gilroy Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the local economy and local businesses. It specializes in working with new organizations and focuses on building strong networks and connections for local businesses. Programs include one-on-one marketing tutorials, networking events and website promotion. Chamber members receive additional business marketing support from staff.
