Post 9083 is the local arm of the national non-profit organization, Veterans of Foreign Wars. The VFW is open to all veterans, and hosts a number of events and meetings throughout the year. Friendship Outreach Center & Advocacy Program is located in a converted row home on Harford Road. It offers classes, free food, clothing and assistance with BGE turn-off notices and evictions to those in need. Outreach is handled by appointment only, during business hours.
The lodge hall of the nonprofit membership group of the Fraternal Order of Police of Baltimore County is used for meetings and various social functions. It is also available for private party rental.
