United Way of Morris County is a fundraising organization that improves the lives of children, families and individuals by providing referrals to various health and human services agencies. It works in partnership with the government, educational institutions and nonprofit agencies. The organization s Success By 6 program brings together volunteers and early childhood educators to develop and support programs for early childhood development. Through the program, over 500 children from low-income families in Morris County, N.J., were given opportunities to attend child care classes. United Way of Morris County offers the Housing Alliance, which is a community collaboration program that provides a range of housing opportunities in Morris County. In addition, the organization offers emergency health and preventive care, case management and crisis counseling services to low-income families, victims of substance abuse and people struggling with mental illnesses.
