SAGE Eldercare is a not-for-profit organization based in Summit that offers care, medical and otherwise for seniors in the area. Services include Meals on Wheels, in-home assistance, grocery shopping, nurse supervision, home repair, educational workshops, Medicare services and more. In business for more than 50 years, SAGE provides 11 programs and serves more than 5,000 elders annually in Morris, Somerset, Union, and Essex counties.
This 13.5-acre estate located in Summit, New Jersey features gardens and woodland trails, which are open to the public seven day per week from dawn until dusk. Reeves-Reed Arboretum is a National Historic Landmark, which provides horticulture education programs and gardening workshops for children and adults in addition to Sounds of a Summer Night Jazz Series and Art in the Garden.

Homeless Solutions (formerly Morris Shelter Inc.) is a private, not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization founded in 1983. The organization helps to provide shelter beds, meals, clothing and supportive services for men, women and children through Morris County. Programs include "Safe Haven," which provides services to the mentally ill homeless and the Family Transition Housing Program.
Ocean City Sailing Foundation is a non-profit organization working to introduce and promote sailing to the general public and residents of the area. The foundation offers numerous programs and classes for youth and families, many of which have an excellent student to instructor ratio of 4:1. Some programs offered include those aimed at beginners, intermediate sailors and competitive sailors. Lessons operate from June through August and include morning sessions as well as afternoon and half-day sessions. Check the main site for a schedule or programs or for details on rates for lessons.
The Great Swamp Watershed Association is a non-profit, member-supported environmental organization that is dedicated to monitoring and protecting water quality, investigating and participating in land use issues within the watershed community, and working to strengthen environmental regulations in New Jersey. The GSWA also provides environmental education to community groups, teachers and students, to help promote the importance of protecting drinking water and preserving the natural beauty of the environment.
Accessible through the side entrance of the Church of the Redeemer, the Community Soup Kitchen provides free meals everyday at noon, no questions asked, to anyone in need. Healthful food options are offered, including low-fat milk, local farm produce and multi-grain breads. The soup kitchen also offers assistance to those in attendance in terms of accessing community resources, services and educational programs.
The National Park Boat Club is a private social club and marina. Members enjoy year-round access to the marina and its facilities. It organizes a number of events for its members throughout the year, notably its annual Catfish tournament and fundraiser. A calendar of its events is available on its website. This club also is also a non-profit organization acting as a benefactor and sponsor of various community resources, schools and other charitable organizations.
Our Place is a daytime drop-in shelter in Morristown for the homeless, providing a place for them to get off the streets, have coffee, and to learn about public and private programs that may be able to help. Free Internet is available. Our Place was founded in the mid-1990s and is located in the basement of First Baptist Church, across the street from the Morris County Courthouse.
