The Meals on Wheels Association of America (MOAWW) is an organization dedicated to ending hunger amoung senior citzens in the US and US properties. There are approximatley 5,000 chapters of MOAWW and the Westlake chapter is run by Janet Yaroma. MOAWW was founded in 1976 and now has several different initiatives, including Marc for Meals, Emergency Preparedness, We all love our pets, The Rural Initiative and more. All are designed to provides services for the well-being of senior citizens.
Passion for Change is a nonprofit organization that provides advocacy, research and education in the mental health field. This organization offers its services in the local community, as well as for national causes. Its "Communicators for Mental Health" program is available to professionals interested in becoming advocates for the group.
