Operational for over 25 years, The Discovery Center of the Southern Tier has been a children s museum. Located in Binghamton, N.Y., it is spread across 22,500-square-foot of space. The museum s facility offers inside/outdoor picnic areas, vending services, diaper changing facilities and a nursing room. It has a story garden, a childrens interactive garden containing 13 interactive areas focusing on childrens literature themes. In addition to interactive exhibits, the museum offers family workshops, early childhood adventures, art expressions, school programs, multi-cultural awareness, discovery kids summer camps and a state certified K-5 after school program.
