The Christian Science Church is located on White Oak near the intersection of Plummer. The Church and Reading Rooms are open to all. Private meetings with the practitioners are available.
Run by the First Church of Christ Scientist, the reading room is a quiet place where visitors can read, borrow or purchase literature on Christian Science. Inside are Bibles, Christian Science periodicals and study reference tools, including writings by Christian Science founder Mary Baker Eddy.
The reading room also contains volumes of all published issues of the Christian Science Sentinel, the Christian Science Journal and The Herald of Christian Science.
This location is a spiritual resource center and book store sponsored by the Twenty-Eighth Church of Christ, Scientist, located on Hilgard Avenue. All are welcome to come to the center for quiet study, personal reflection or to learn about Christian Science.
The Christian Science Reading Room is a place to find and read Christian Science literature and bibles. The reading room is part of the Fifth Church of Christ, Scientist in Long Beach.
The bookstore is on the lower level of the building. The reading rooms are on the upper level and have computer stations, a coffee pot and a balcony which makes for a great reading environment.
