Blackhawk Christian School is an educational institution that offers a range of academic, spiritual and extracurricular programs for students. It enrolls more than 700 students in preschool through grade 12. Founded in 1973, the school is accredited by the Indiana Department of Education and is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), Allen County Non-Public Schools Association (ACNPSA), Indiana Non-Public Education Association (INPEA) and Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA). With over 50 staff members, it provides instruction in English, science, Bible studies, mathematics, fine arts, and health and safety education. Blackhawk Christian School organizes parent-teacher conferences and interscholastic volleyball, soccer, cross-country, basketball, cheerleading and tennis competitions. It maintains a library that provides Web site links for several projects, reports and research papers, as well as P.I.T. Crew, which is a parent organization that encourages their involvement in school activities. Additionally, the school maintains a student council and drama, choir, band and bowling clubs.
