The municipal clerk is Springfield's custodian of records. The clerk is responsible for certification of primary and general elections documents. The office issues licenses for gas stations, food and pets. The clerk also handles local enforcement and issuance of alcoholic beverage licenses. The clerk's office issues all birth, death and marriage licenses. Linda Donnelly became the township clerk in the summer of 2010.
