The Scott Township Police Department provides 24-hour protection to its residents. There are 20 full-time officers who are supervised by Chief James Secreet. The township police department is located on the ground floor in the back of the municipal building.
Five Ponds is a 19-hole golf course with a country club, restaurant and bar. It has a fully stocked pro shop for all golfing needs and a convenient golf-cart rental facility. It is easily located off of West Street Road. An affiliated housing development is being built alongside the club.
The Abington Free Library is the largest library and the most visited library in the Montgomery County Library and Information Network Consortium (MCLINC), which comprises more than 30 libraries. It employs 65 people and has more than 100 volunteers. The library has an extensive children's book collection on the lower level, as well as more than a dozen computers and a room for lectures and presentations.
The Lower Providence Township Building is located at 100 Parklane Drive in Eagleville.
In its immediate vicinity lies the Lower Providence Community Library and Eagleville Park and Gaugler Field.
The Township Building is home to the Lower Providence's administrative services, as well as its municipal meetings.
The Glenside Free Library stocks fiction and nonfiction titles, biographies, history books and reference materials for adults, teens and kids. It also hosts story time, book clubs and computer classes.
