Tinley Park-Park District is just 30 minutes southwest of downtown Chicago. The district s premier facility is the Tony Bettenhausen Recreation Center, which provides amenities, such as an indoor playground, indoor jogging and walking track, as well as a gymnasium with three basketball courts and six volleyball courts. The facility also provides room rentals, program rooms, an arts and crafts room, teen and senior drop-in center, museum and teaching kitchen. The district also operates the Tinley Park-Park District Fitness Center, Landmark Museum & Church, McCarthy Recreation Building, McCarthy Miniature Golf, Vogt Visual Arts Center, Extreme Skate Park and White Water Canyon Water Park.
