Holiday Island Suburban Improvement District is a public corporation organized July of 1970. It provides Holiday Island with a public road system, water works, sewer system, fire protection facilities and recreational amenities. The district possesses various amenities, such as 18-hole golf course, a recreation complex with two swimming pools, tennis courts, horseshoe pits, miniature golf, softball field, table and paddle tennis facilities, to name a few. Holiday Island is a resort/retirement community spread over 4,500 acres of land.
