It features extended hours and offers all of the traditional services. Stamps, money orders, and mailing and shipping supplies are available for purchase, and the staff can assist with shipping and mailing of letters and parcels. Free priority and express shipping supplies are provided. P.O. boxes can also be rented at this facility.
The City of Oceanside currently has six resource centers and a police department. It operates the Police Beach Facility, the Downtown Resource Center and the main headquarters located in the Mission Douglas Shopping Center. This resource center is for the Housing and Neighborhood Services Department. The centers are designed to provide a sense of community and security to residents of the surrounding area, and also serve as a component of the Department's community-policing philosophy. It also works in tandem with the Military Police of neighboring Camp Pendleton to assist military personnel to find housing once they’ve left the Marine force.
The State of California Corrections Department in Oceanside is a parole reporting facility.
