The City of Redwood City Abandoned Shopping Cart Hotline is a service offering to pick-up shopping carts that have been stolen or abandoned. Callers are asked to provide the location of shopping carts and any additional information that may be necessary for their recovery. This office is housed in the government building located near the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Middlefield Road.
Fleet Maintenance is a division under the Department of Public Works. The Grant Corporation Yard maintenance facility and the San Mateo County motor pools are both located in Redwood City. Seventeen employees manage the facilities including 11 mechanics, three office personnel, two service supervisors, and one field manager. The division ensures that all County vehicles are safe and in proper condition. It also operates the new Gas Boy fueling system, which is installed in six locations through out the County. The system gives employees access to fuel 24-7, should they need it.
The executive officer/clerk and jury commissioner, administration, criminal, civil, family law, jury, family law facilitators, probate, records management, countywide special parks and recreation district, and small claims court are all located in the Hall of Justice.
The small claims branch moved to the Hall of Justice in 2010. It also houses the Southern Branch of the Superior Court.
This location is the Town Hall of the Town of Woodside. It houses the offices and meeting rooms for many of the municipal government departments of Woodside. Residents and visitors can contact the office of the Town Clerk, and the building also houses the Building, Planning and Public Works Departments. It also is the site of the Town Council.
The San Mateo County Government Emergency Services office is tasked with emergency preparedness and response. The office designs and implements strategies designed to mitigate the impact of or recover from natural disasters, accidents, national security threats and other types of major emergencies.
This facility provides incarceration services to pretrial and sentenced inmates, as well as rehabilitative services and programs to reduce repeat offences. All inmates receive medical, nutritional, hygienic, legal and religious rights as ensured by the Sheriff's Office. Inmates are allowed two visits per week. Other divisions within the department include the Operations Division, Investigations, Support Services Division and Multi-jurisdictional Services Division. Operations includes patrolling, community policing services, school-based resource officers, youth programming through the Sheriff's Activities League and family counseling.
The City of Redwood City Office of City Clerk is a Redwood City government office handling administrative tasks. The office issues marriage licenses, land deeds, judicial appointments and mayoral decrees. The clerk's office also is responsible for registering lobbyists and reporting the activities of lobbyists.
