Central Park Recreation Center sits on the edge of the 17-acre Central Park. The curvy brick building with yellow accents is operated by the city of Atlanta Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs.
The center offers a variety of programs, from youth football to adult aerobics, cheerleading, photography and hip hop dance. The center has a fitness room and computer lab, which are open Mon - Fri, from 3pm to 8pm and Sat, from 9am to 2pm. The facility closed in 2008 amid city of Atlanta budget cuts, but reopened in August 2010.
The state Division of Family & Children Services oversees welfare and employment support, child protection services, foster care and other avenues through which families can be supported. Paulding DFCS is located in the same facility as the Paulding County Sheriff's Office Crimes Against Children Unit, which aims to protect the county's young residents by investigating criminal activity where a child has been physically or sexually abused, neglected or kidnapped. The unit also employs proactive programs to prevent such incidents.
The city of Peachtree Corners' city hall houses local government offices, including Planning and Zoning, Code Enforcement and Business Licenses departments.
The Peachtree Corners City Council meets the first Tuesday of each month, the Planning Commission meets the second Tuesday of each month.
At this new brick building near the Driver's Lisence Center and Department of Family & Children Services, residents are provided with career services, like unemployment benefits, job training and work permits. There is a child play area. This Gwinnett County Career Center serves the entire county.
These are the government offices of Fulton County and the home of Fulton County State Court and Superior and Magistrate Court. The Fulton County Sheriff's Office also is headquartered here, as is the county's law library.
The Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History, which is open to the public, also offers membership opportunities. Membership comes with perks such as preferred seating at lecture events, Smithsonian affiliate membership, gift cards that can be used to purchase items at the gift shop and more.
Guided group tours are available every 30 minutes, and groups of 10 or more can book one of the rooms for private events like luncheons, wedding receptions and corporate meetings.
Located just three miles west of Downtown Atlanta, Mozley Park includes a 100-person pavilion with a grill, a playground, two picnic shelters, two lighted softball fields, a tennis court, a basketball court, two multi-use courts, a PATH trail, a swimming pool and a recreation center.

To reserve a pavilion, call the reservation number and be prepared to submit an application. As with all city parks, Mozley Park is governed by the city's Office of Parks official Park Use Rules and Guidelines.
