What is responsible for 234.5 acres of land divided amongst 32 parks, as well as recreation activities and events? Well, it's the Village of Lake Zurich Park and Recreation Department, of course. Housed in a building called the Barn, the department is a part of the village government instead of a separate park district. The Barn was once in a model home office in the Old Mill Grove subdivision, but was later moved and placed in its present location to serve as the department's headquarters. Preschool classes are held in the basement of the Barn and there's a Safety Town out back.
