Red Bank Elks Lodge #233 is located in the city's downtown on Front Street along the Navesink River. The lodge includes a social area for members, a large banquet hall for hundreds of guests, a Tiki Bar, and an outside seating and barbeque area.
Established more than a century ago, lodge #233 supports many charitable causes throughout the area including assisting handicapped and special needs children, providing scholarships, assisting veterans with patriotic programs, providing food baskets to the needy, and providing drug awareness and counciling programs.
One of two Elks lodges in Red Bank, #220 is located on Shrewsbury Avenue on the west side of the city in Phyllis Wheatley Temple. The facility includes a banquet hall, a pool table and an outdoor grill. The facility is named for a woman who is widely recognized as the first African-American to have her poetry published.
