Founded in 1972, Western Youth Services is a community-based nonprofit agency that provides a range of prevention and mental health treatment services. The agency offers counseling and crisis intervention services. It conducts a various educational programs on parenting, family life and early childhood intervention. The agency also employs more than 150 people, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, family counselors and support personnel. It offers psychological testing, case and program management, and individual, family and group therapy services. The agency works in collaboration with several community-based human service agencies, as well as serves over 5,500 people annually. Headquartered in Laguna Hills, Calif., Western Youth Services maintains a location in Fountain Valley, Calif.
