The Health and Human Services Department is a part of the government of Oconto County. It provides a variety of services to families, adults and children who need assistance with mental health, substance abuse and disability issues. The department s community services division provides behavioral health, psychiatric, long-term support and adult protection services. Its economic support division determines the eligibility and provides case management for FoodShare, child care and energy assistance programs. The department s public health division offers population-based programs and individual services to protect and promote the health of county residents. The Health and Human Services Department participates in several programs to prevent unintentional injuries to human beings.
