This New York City store finds itself at home on Newtown Lane with laid-back, "beach-friendly" garments. With it's antique-style awning and white walls you may feel as if you are shopping in a Hamptons beach bungalow. The company consolidated it's smaller stores in East Hampton into the one large location a few years ago, with both men's and women's styles in one place. You can enter Scoop Beach from Park Place or Newtown Lane.
The Ladies' Village Improvement Society of East Hampton runs the very popular Bargain Box Thrift Shop. Located in their headquarters on Main Street, the shop shares a space with Bargain Books. Carrying gently used men's, women's and children's clothing, accessories, and shoes, jewelry, furniture, knick-knacks and household items, it always stays busy. Donations are always accepted. The shop's revenue provides a lot of the funding for Ladies' projects, such as tree planting and funds for the scholarship program.
