Seaside Lagoon is a public park that offers something from everyone in the family to enjoy. The highlight is the saltwater lagoon that's staffed with lifeguards and features play equipment for the kids, a large sand area for sunbathing, a volleyball court and snack bar. You can also bring your own food and use the on-site grills and picnic tables. Seaside offers daily and seasonal passes for individuals and families and group rates. Seaside Lagoon is located on the southwest corner of Harbor Drive and Portofino Way.
The Redondo Rod and Gun Club is located in Redondo Beach, just south of Aviation Boulevard and west of the 405 freeway. Members meets every Thursday evening at 8pm to discuss club activities. The meetings are open to those interested in hunting and fishing, and looking to find others with similar interests.
This Salvation Army location offers a variety of church events, social services, Meals on Wheels, and corps programs, as well as a senior residence facility. Social services include daily lunches and dinners, ESL classes, immunization clinics, case management, women's shelter and substance abuse referrals, suicide prevention counseling, summer camps and more.
The senior residence allows for independent living with access to laundry facilities, a family room that includes a large-screen television and pool tables, and access to seminars and education. It hosts such activities as Bingo, game night, movies and sing-alongs. The building has 43 apartments, which are all equipped with a stove, carpeting, blinds, and a patio or balcony.
Founded in 1960, this club is made up of boating enthusiasts including professional racers and fisherman. The clubhouse sits in the bay and offers an amazing ocean view, a library, meeting rooms, a weather station and a lounge with a full bar. The dock has 1,458 boat slips and has sufficient space for a craft up to 83 feet. Guest docks are available on a first come basis.
The American Legion Post 184 serves the coastal communities of the Los Angeles South Bay area. This veteran group has been a member of the American Legion organization since 1920.
The post consists of the American Legion Post 184, Post 184 Women's Auxillary and Squadron 184 of the Sons of America Legion. This organization sponsors activities for the veterans of the community. For special event and meeting times, call the office number provided.
The Woman's Club of Redondo Beach is a volunteer organization whose goal is to promote education through scholarship for Redondo High students, arts promotion, adopting families during the holidays and to support local charities such as Redondo Beach Firefighters Community Relief Fund, Salvation Army Food Bank and Cheer for Children.
