The organization is a member of the National Knights of Columbus Association, which was founded in 1882 to promote charity, unity and fraternity. Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic Fraternal Service Organization. There are currently more than 1.8 million members in 15,000 councils across the world.

WhirlyBall is a venue offering an opportunity to play a team sport. The sport of whirlyball involves bumper cars and combines lacrosse, hockey and basketball. In general, each team should have 5 players. WhirlyBall offers a large court at approximately 4,000 sq. ft. with 10 WhirlyBugs cars (five red and five yellow). It makes for great entertainment for a party. Advance reservation is required.
Woodbrooke Hills Swim and Tennis Club is a private athletic club. The club's facility, which is only open in the summer, was renovated in 2002, adding brand new tennis courts and a completely new pool. The club offers family memberships.

Council 1802, like all Knights of Columbus councils, is comprised of Catholic men ages 18 and older. It participates in charity work and community events.
