The Birmingham Country Club has been around for nearly a century—since 1916, to be exact. Originally, the founders were various businessmen who purchased the acres of land and stream as a real estate investment; however, they admired the land so much that they converted it instead into a golf course. Over the decades, the main house has been transformed from a white farm house to a larger wooden house and now the current, sprawling English form. The various amenities of the old, refined country club complement the high-class atmosphere as members enjoy a pool, a golf course and plenty of food and drink for entertainment purposes. Not to mention, it also provides an upscale location for their special events.
Basketball America is located on the south side of Clarkston Road, and has been serving the Lake Orion community since 1993. The facility offers basketball and volleyball leagues for all ages. Basketball America also has a court reservation system for anyone looking for a private court to practice or play on. It also hosts events and fundraisers.
The Dearborn Country Club is a legendary club founded by Henry Ford in 1925 and featuring a large clubhouse, barber shop, olympic-sized swimming pool and an 18-hole golf course. The clubhouse offers banquet services and can accommodate private parties, weddings and events.
