Operated by Santa Barbara City College (SBCC), the Wake Center is a community-based organization that assists people with their citizenship process. Founded in 1990, it is a citizenship center that provides assistance with a variety of immigration matters, including resident alien card replacement, visa petitions, passport photos, and work authorization and family unity permits for families. The Wake Center has served more than 20,000 families. It is a member of the Naturalization Advisory Committee.
