Sherman Oaks Lutheran Children's Center provides a nurturing environment for kids ages 2 through 5. The center, which is licensed by the California Department Of Social Services, offers part-time and full-time programs in a Christian setting. Curriculum includes story time, art, science, music, movement, Bible and play.
Emek Hebrew Academy is dedicated to offering an academically challenging and strong Orthodox education for Jewish children. The school provides students with a comprehensive, well-balanced curriculum in both Torah and general studies. The school is very involved with the parents and community. The atmosphere is serious but warm. There is also a nursery on-site.
National University is a non-profit, private university that was founded in 1971. The campus is located in an large office building off busy Ventrua Boulevard. Parking is validated for the parking off the ramp in the rear of the building.
This is the Sherman Oaks branch of Toastemasters, an international community of those dedicated to improving speech, as well as listening, thinking and understanding. Classes in how to speak effectively, convey ideas clearly and be persuasive are held twice weekly and are open to people of all walks of life. Members include students, professionals and English learners looking to better master the English language.
