The legendary Comedy Store on the Sunset Strip is where famous comedians such as Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Whoopie Goldberg and Jim Carrey cut their teeth on standup comedy. The Comedy Store opened its doors in 1972 with a performance by Johnny Carson. Inside there are three stages: The Main Room, The Original Room and The Belly Room, each hosting standup comics regularly. Show start times vary between 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., and there is a two-drink minimum.
