Mile High United Way has been operational for more than 100 years and is located in Denver. It coordinates more than 50,000 individual donors, over 800 local businesses, nearly 100 nonprofit partners and several community resources to deliver long-term solutions. The organization supports over 30 after-school and mentoring programs to help at-risk children to overcome obstacles and graduate from high school. Its school readiness initiative provides early care and education for children from low-income families. Mile High United Way has collaborations with more than 15 agencies, such as Hope Center and Mile High Montessori Early Learning Center. The organization works with nearly 115 partner organizations, including Volunteers of America, and provides transitional housing, career training, educational scholarships and matched savings accounts to adults seeking assistance.
