Baird Preschool is open to children ages 2 1/2 through 5 years who live in South Orange and Maplewood. It teaches counting, the alphabet, music, dance, motor coordination and an introduction to computers. Programs combine recreational and educational activities to help students become well-rounded.
Originally built in the 1950s as a movie theater, the 8,000-square-foot Lake Community Center in Lake Elsinore was renovated in 1990 to become the city's first senior and community center. The facility offers senior programs, after school programs, drop in sports and recreational classes, as well as a variety of programs for adults.
The Lake Community Center is open daily for drop in fitness and sports, dance, music, art and tiny tots programs. The facility is available for rentals and offers a gymnasium, kitchen and two meeting rooms. It can host wedding receptions, birthday parties, banquets and large meetings.
