No matter what day of the week it is, you'll always find something to do at the San Bruno Senior Center. Since its founding in 1987, it has become a focal point for residents who are 50 year of age and older. Each week, there are about 60 classes held which include fitness classes, language classes and recreational activities. A lunch program is also offered at the center for a small donation. And if you don't have the transportation to get there, no worries, the senior center bus will pick you up from your home.
The facility boasts a Mediterranean design with its clay tiling, high ceilings and plentitude of windows. The center also has a number of rooms available for the seminars and classes, pool tables, a garden, a bocce ball court and its own coffee shop. And every Thursday is bingo night, which helps raise funds to support the senior services at the San Bruno Senior Center.
The senior center is also the meeting place of the City Council and Planning Commission.
San Bruno Chinese Church is a Southern Baptist church with the aim of spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ and reaching out to the Chinese community. The church offers worship services both in English and in Cantonese as well as programs for all different ages. The church also operates a Chinese school and a senior center out of its facility. It also has one of the best views of the bay, nestled in a hill across from Crestmoor Fields overlooking the city.
