The Institute for Child and Family Health, formerly known as the Childrens Psychiatric Center, has been providing emotional health and prevention services to children, adolescents and families in Miami-Dade County, Fla., since 1945. The institute is a private, nonprofit agency that specializes in providing medical, early intervention, case management, and specialized foster care and educational services. The Institute for Child and Family Health is accredited by the Council on Accreditation and American Psychological Association. It maintains a predoctoral internship training facility that is recognized by the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Center. The institute also provides health and wellness programs, such as early prevention and pediatric medical care, as well as prevention and support services for infants and pregnant women.
