Located in Hinsdale's Memorial Building, HCS Family Services (formerly known as Hinsdale Community Service) provides food, housing assistance, clothing, counseling and other emergency services to people in need within the communities of Burr Ridge, Clarendon Hills, Darien, Hinsdale, Oak Brook, Westmont, Willowbrook and adjoining unincorporated areas. The organization has a mobile food pantry, as well as a food pantry on the premises.

Founded in 1975, the Hinsdale Historical Society is dedicated to collecting and preserving the history of Hinsdale. It maintains three historic buildings, including the Hinsdale History Museum, which houses the Society's archive; the R. Harold Zook Home and Studio, designed by a noted Hinsdale architect in 1924; and Immanuel Hall, which is home to the Roger & Ruth Anderson Architecture Center. It was founded by a group of residents in 1975.

The Hinsdale Memorial Building was built in memory of the soldiers that gave their lives in the first World War. It was dedicated on Armistice Day, November 11, 1927. Within it are the offices for the village of Hinsdale, including the departments of public services, water operations and parks and recreation. All departments report to the village manager.

Wellness House is a not-for-profit organization that exists to provide programs and support for people living with cancer. The organization serves more than 1,600 people every year. The idea for the house began with three women, two who had survived cancer, who wanted to help others with the struggles associated with the illness. Before long, the group grew to 20 people who formed a planning committee to raise money for the project. The current facility was made possible through donations and grants. All programs and services are provided free of charge.

Located at the end of a cul-de-sac, next to the Spinning Wheel Apartments, the campus for Robert Crown Centers for Health Education in Hinsdale can be easily missed. The center offers programs that teach students from preschool through high school about sex, drugs, violence, relationships, health and safety. The Robert Crown Centers also have offices in Chicago and Aurora. Reservations are required for visitors.
