The Ellicott City Senior Center is one of Howard County's nine Senior Centers. It is a hub for recreation, education and social activities. Daily lunch, health screenings, information and referrals are just a few of the services offered. Howard Transit can provide transportation to the Senior Center for a small fee. The Kiwanis-Wallas Recreation Center is a fully equipped rental hall, perfect for a birthday party, anniversary or other major event. The center, convenient throughout Howard County, has a banquet capacity of 200 people (450 standing), complete with tables and chairs. The kitchen is fully functional, complete with ice machine. Alcohol is permitted inside the building.

Westchester Community Center is a building that was once a schoolhouse in the community. It is now used as a center for groups and private parties to meet. Linden Hall is home to the Dorsey's Search Community Association, with serves close to 7,500 residents in Fairway Hills and Dorsey Hall. The building functions as a community center that hosts bingo, craft shows, senior luncheons, storytimes and more. The hall is also available to rent for social events and private functions.
