Jacob Park is a 5-acre park that has a walkway stretching from one end to the other, providing a clear walkway from busy Norwalk Boulevard. The park features two playgrounds, a sand volleyball court and half-court basketball. To avoid traffic from the main street, enter the park from Jacob Avenue.
Satellite Park's pavilion offers great shade for special events and those who love to barbecue. The playground is equipped with a padded rubber floor instead of sand to keep children clean and safe. The park also features a baseball diamond, a sand volleyball court and half-court basketball.
Loma Park borders an elementary school and is located in a quiet residential neighborhood. The park's abundance of trees offers great shade for visitors. The park spans one acre and has one grill and two picnic tables.
Calvary Cross Chapel Preschool has been serving the Cerritos community since August of 1974. Its non-denominational program offers preschool classes to children aged 2 years, 9 months to five years. It also offers extended day care for children grades K - 6 who are currently attending neighboring Burbank, Juarez and Niemas Elementary Schools. The facility houses a spacious playground and has separate classrooms for each age group. Apart from its pre-kindergarten readiness program, the school also exposes students to gymnastics, dance, music and arts and crafts. Living Water Mission Church is a Korean founded church established in 1997 and dedicated to bringing the values of Jesus into daily life. The church accommodates a large congregation, and many young couples in their 20s attend services, giving it a fresh and modern perspective to Christian living. The church is also involved in missions all over the world including in China and Thailand.
Crossroads Multinational offers worship services every Sunday for children, youth and adults. The church also offers drama, music, youth groups and children's, men's and women's ministries to help spread the teachings of Jesus Christ. The church holds "cell groups" that discuss the purpose of worship, accountability, bonding and growth. Cerritos Baptist Church is a Christian ministry whose origins date back to 1979. The church started with 25 members worshiping privately in a member's home and has since grown to more than 500 congregation members who attend any one of the three services given every Sunday. The church is committed to reaching out to the local members of the Cerritos community by spreading the teachings of Christ.
Liberty Park spans across 34 acres and offers a wide range of activities for visitors. The park features a fitness center, track, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, indoor racquet ball courts, a small theater stage, freezbee golf, baseball fields and two playgrounds.
Liberty Park also provides easy access for bikers and walkers to travel alongside the river bed, which borders the park. The park's many picnic pavilions can be reserved for special events, but should be done well in advance.
Membership to the fitness center is available to Cerritos residents and those working in the city for a fee of $50 a year. A 60-minute orientation at either the Liberty Park facility or fitness center at the Cerritos Olympic Swim Center is required prior to the first workout.

Westgate Park, a 4.5-acre park, features a tennis court that has lights for evening games. The park provides an ideal atmosphere for those who wish to play during evening hours. The park also has a playground, a volleyball net on the grass field, a full basketball court and a baseball diamond. Visitors can also use the park's pavilion to host special events.
Originally formed in 1986, this church started out as small prayer club that soon grew in numbers, expanding into this second location on Del Amo Boulevard in 2005. The congregation is currently comprised of over 300 members and even houses a small pre-school center. The church is dedicated to spreading the teachings of the Lord with weekly services and education programs for young children.
Rosewood Park is a small, quaint park that is normally fenced off during off-hours. There are plenty of benches and two pavilions to hold special events. The park also features a playground, a spacious field, and a basketball court; however, no lights are available for games in the evening.
Cerritos Regional County Park is the largest park in Cerritos spanning 56 acres. Programs located at this park are conducted in cooperation with the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation.
The park features a lake for fishing, a 50-meter outdoor swimming pool that is open during the summer, playgrounds, exercise stations and a gymnasium with indoor basketball courts. The park also has a multipurpose room, tennis courts, outdoor basketball courts, baseball and soccer fields, picnic shelters and picnic tables. Brookhaven park is a narrow park that features a basketball halfcourt, a volleyball court on the grass and a nicely shaded playground at one end of the park. The park does not have a walkway because of its size so handicap access is limited.
Frontier Park is three acres long and features a baseball diamond and a halfcourt basketball. This neighborhood park is staffed during the summer and also has a small arts-and-crafts room, a variety of playground equipment along with picnic shelters, tables and barbecues.
Artesia Cemetery is a public cemetery established in 1928. The historical site has numerous burials from veterans of the Civil War, as well as veterans from other conflicts, including the recent Iraq War.
